What platforms is Arma Reforger on?
- Xbox Series X|S — since November 16, 2023.
- PlayStation 5 — since December 12, 2024.
- PC (Steam & Microsoft Store) — since 2023.
There’s no Xbox One or PS4 version — Arma Reforger is current-gen only, built on the Enfusion engine.
What you need to play online
Multiplayer is the heart of Arma Reforger, and online play needs a subscription on console: an Xbox online subscription (Game Pass Core/Ultimate) on Xbox, and PS Plus on PlayStation 5. With that, you get full crossplay — PC, Xbox and PS5 players share the same servers (see our crossplay guide).
Can you use mods on console?
This changed in a big way: Xbox players can now use mods, downloaded in-game through the Content Workshop. PS5 gained modded-server access in Update 1.4 (May 2025) after being excluded at launch — though some mod types can still be limited on console. The practical effect:
- Vanilla servers — PC, Xbox and PS5 all welcome.
- Modded servers — PC, Xbox and (since Update 1.4) PS5 can all join; some mod types may still be limited on console.
The catch: consoles can’t host their own server
Here’s the key thing for console players who want a persistent server for their group: you can’t run a dedicated server from a console. A listen game only exists while the host is playing.
