Valheim Mead & Potion Recipes: Resistance, Healing & Stamina (2026)

Every key Valheim mead recipe — frost, poison and fire resistance plus healing and stamina meads — and how to brew them.

Meads and potions are essential survival tools in Valheim. The right resistance mead is often the difference between surviving a biome and dying in seconds, while healing and stamina meads keep you in the fight. This guide covers every key mead recipe and how to brew them.

How to brew mead

Brewing is a two-station process:

  1. Craft the mead base at a Cauldron using the ingredients below.
  2. Place the base in a Fermenter and wait two in-game days.
  3. Collect your mead — each base yields six drinkable meads.

You’ll want a row of fermenters going at all times so you’re never caught without resistance mead before a boss.

Resistance meads (the important ones)

Mead Ingredients (base) Effect
Frost Resistance 10 Honey, 5 Thistle, 2 Bloodbag, 1 Greydwarf Eye Resist frost for 600s (breaks if wet)
Poison Resistance 10 Honey, 5 Thistle, 1 Neck Tail, 10 Coal Resist & shorten poison for 600s
Fire Resistance (Barley Wine) 10 Barley, 10 Cloudberries Resist fire for 600s

Frost resistance is your gateway to the Mountains. Poison resistance is essential for the Swamp and the Bonemass fight. Fire resistance barley wine (Plains ingredients) is mandatory for the Ashlands.

Healing & stamina meads

Mead Ingredients (base) Effect
Minor Healing 10 Honey, 5 Blueberries, 10 Raspberries, 1 Dandelion Restore 50 HP over 10s
Medium Healing 10 Honey, 4 Bloodbag, 10 Raspberries, 1 Dandelion Restore 75 HP over 10s
Medium Stamina 10 Honey, 10 Cloudberries, 10 Yellow Mushrooms Restore 160 stamina, faster regen 120s

Healing meads have a cooldown, so you can’t spam them — use them to top up between hits, not as your only health source. Your food is still your main health pool.

Honey: the foundation

Almost every mead needs Honey, which you harvest from Beehives. Get a queen bee from abandoned buildings in the Meadows, place hives near your base, and you’ll have a renewable honey supply for endless brewing.
