Becoming an Admin on Your Enshrouded Server
Learn how to set an admin password and become an admin on your Enshrouded dedicated server to kick, ban, and manage players.
As an admin on your Enshrouded server, you can kick and ban players, make changes to other players' bases, and access chests or other containers. This guide walks you through setting up an admin password and becoming an admin in-game.
Setting an Admin Password
Open the Startup Settings
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your Enshrouded server. In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Set the Admin Password
Find Admin Password and enter your desired password.
Start Your Server
Start your server to apply the changes. This will automatically configure your enshrouded_server.json file with the required admin role.
📝 Note: Your Admin Password cannot be the same as your Server Password.
💡 Tip: If you remove the
Admin Password, it will also remove the admin role. Check out our guide on Enshrouded Server Roles if you prefer to manually edit your roles.
Becoming an Admin In-Game
Join Your Server
Open Enshrouded and join your server.
Connect with the Admin Password
When prompted, connect using the Admin Password you set earlier.
💡 Tip: You can open the in-game menu and select permissions to confirm that you are now an admin.
