Changing Difficulty Presets on Your Enshrouded Server
Learn how to change between Default, Relaxed, Hard, Survival, and Custom difficulty presets on your Enshrouded dedicated server.
Enshrouded comes with five difficulty presets that you can use to quickly adjust how challenging the game is. You can change these directly from the XGamingServer game panel.
Changing the Difficulty Preset
Open the Startup Settings
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your Enshrouded server. In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Select Your Difficulty
Find the Difficulty setting and change it to the desired difficulty preset.
Start Your Server
Start your server to apply the changes.
Available Difficulty Presets

Default - The standard difficulty setting with all values at default. This is the recommended setting for first-time players.

Relaxed - Reduces the number of enemies and provides players with more resources and loot. This mode is ideal for players interested in base building and lighthearted adventuring.

Hard - Increases the number of enemies and makes them more aggressive for a tougher combat experience.

Survival - For players who seek additional survival mechanics on top of more aggressive enemies.

Custom - When selected, a long list of individual settings can be tweaked. This setting is required if you manually adjust your
enshrouded_server.jsonfile.
