How to use
- Install WindrosePlus on your server (from github.com/HumanGenome/WindrosePlus)
- Stop your server
- Open Files in the panel sidebar
- Place
windrose_plus.jsonin the server root folder - Save & Restart from the panel
Windrose+ Multiplier Reference
windrose_plus.json lives in your server's root folder (the same directory as the server executable). All multipliers default to 1.0. After editing the file, always do a full Save & Restart from your panel — hot reloads are not guaranteed. Windrose+ is a server-side mod that requires WindrosePlus from github.com/HumanGenome/WindrosePlus to be installed on the server. Vanilla Windrose servers will ignore the file.

Common Multiplier Recipes
Vanilla (all 1.0)
Untouched Windrose balance. Use this as your starting baseline — install Windrose+ first, then tune one multiplier at a time so you can see exactly what each change does to your crew's pacing.
Casual (2x XP/loot, 0.5 craft cost)
Friendly to weekday players. Doubles XP and drops, halves crafting cost — progression feels smooth without trivializing combat or exploration. Good default for small friend-group servers.
Grind-free (5x XP/loot, 0.3 craft, 3x stack)
Optimized for players who want to build and explore rather than farm. Five times the XP and drops, crafting at 30% cost, and triple stack sizes so hauling materials doesn't eat inventory space.
Hardcore (0.7x XP/loot, 1.5x craft cost)
Slows everything down for long-session players. XP and loot cut by 30%, crafting costs 50% more — every zone matters and every craft is a real commitment. Pair with higher mob difficulty for a true survival run.
