Windrose Co-op Scaling Guide
Windrose dedicated servers let you control how difficulty scales when players join your world. The Coop_MobStatsCorrectionModifier in WorldDescription.jsonadds a percentage of mob HP and posture for each player beyond the first. Understanding this before launch prevents the most common complaint on Windrose servers: "mobs are too easy with 2 players" or "impossible with 6."
Solo / Low Co-op
Scaling: 0.0
Flat difficulty. All players see identical mob HP regardless of group size. Best for large casual crews or events.
Balanced
Scaling: 0.5–0.8
Each extra player adds 50–80% mob HP. Groups of 2–4 stay challenged without becoming impossible for newer players.
Hardcore
Scaling: 1.0–1.5
Full scaling. Every extra player meaningfully increases mob HP. Requires coordination and good gear for large groups.
