Livonia is DayZ’s second official map — smaller, greener and more forested than Chernarus, with its own flavour of survival. This guide covers the DayZ Livonia map and where to go.
Livonia at a glance
Livonia (also called Enoch) is roughly 163 km² — noticeably smaller than Chernarus’s 230 km² — set in a dense Central European landscape of thick forests, farmland, lakes and small towns. The heavy tree cover makes it feel more claustrophobic and ambush-prone than Chernarus’s open fields.
Key locations
- Towns & villages — scattered settlements for early survival loot.
- Military zones — the airfield and military camps hold the best weapons and gear (and the most PvP).
- The forests — Livonia’s defining feature; great for hidden bases and ambushes, easy to get lost in.
- Hunting — Livonia leans into hunting and a more PvE survival feel, with abundant wildlife.
Livonia vs Chernarus
Livonia is more compact and forested, which means closer encounters and a stronger survival/PvE vibe, while Chernarus is bigger, more open and the classic DayZ experience. Many servers run one or the other; some rotate.
Navigating Livonia
As always in DayZ, there’s no default GPS — use an in-game map, compass and landmarks. Our free DayZ interactive map covers Livonia with loot zones, military areas and points of interest so you can plan routes through the forests.
