StarRupture launched into Steam Early Access on January 6, 2026, developed by Creepy Jar — the studio behind Green Hell. This page tracks the game's development progress and what to expect for dedicated servers.

What to Expect in Early Access

Early Access games receive frequent updates. As a server admin, here's what you should know:

• Updates may reset progress — Major updates can sometimes require a world reset. Always keep backups
• New settings will appear — Expect new configuration options in Game.ini and DSSettings.txt with each update
• Player cap may increase — The current 4-player limit may be expanded as the netcode is optimized
• Mod support — Official mod support is expected to expand over the Early Access period

Keeping Your Server Updated

Enable automatic updates to always run the latest version:

1. Go to Startup in the XGamingServer Panel
2. Enable Automatic Updates
3. Restart your server
