Setting a Custom World Seed on Your Terraria Server
Change the world seed on your Terraria dedicated server to generate specific world layouts, including special and secret seeds.
This guide will help you change the world seed on your Terraria server. Seeds determine how the world generates, allowing you to share or replay specific world layouts, or enable secret world modifiers.
Changing the World Seed
⚠️ Warning: Changing a world seed requires the creation of a new world!
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your Terraria server.
Edit the Seed
Go to Files and open config.txt. Find the seed setting and change it to the seed you want to use, then click save.
Set a New World Name
In the sidebar, go to Startup. Under Basic, change World Name to generate a new world.
Start Your Server
Go to Console and Start your server.
Special World Seeds

Secret World Seeds (1.4.5+)
The following secret world seeds were added in Terraria 1.4.5. A full list can be found on the Terraria Wiki.
⚠️ Warning: These seeds do not work as provided and will conflict with world generation on dedicated servers, unless all server settings match, World Size, Difficulty, and the entire seed code (example:
3.1.2.0.winteriscoming|1378921490) is copied from the Terraria menu.
To avoid world generation issues, we highly recommend that you create the world with your desired seed in singleplayer, and then upload the save to your server.
Here's a code to enable and unlock all the secret world seeds on your singleplayer game provided by the Terraria Wiki:
