Terraria Server Configuration Guide
Change game settings on your Terraria dedicated server through the panel or by manually editing config.txt.
In this guide, we will show you how to edit every setting on your Terraria server. This guide covers basic configuration through our game panel and detailed configuration by manually editing the config.txt file.
Basic Server Configuration
Basic settings such as Max Players, Server Type, Difficulty, and more can be configured directly in our game panel.
Stop Your Server
Access the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your server.
Edit Your Settings
In the sidebar, click Startup and edit the setting you want to change.
Start Your Server
Start your server to apply the changes.
Manual config.txt Configuration
If you want to configure advanced settings not included in Startup, you can manually edit the config.txt file on your server. This gives you detailed control over server settings.
📝 Note: Settings in the config.txt file that begin with a
#character are disabled. To enable these settings, remove the#character from the beginning of the line.
Each setting will also include a helpful description of what it does.
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your server.
Open the Config File
Go to Files and open config.txt.
Edit and Save
Adjust your desired settings and then click save.
Start Your Server
Start your server to apply the changes.
