Yagluth is Valheim’s fifth boss — a colossal skeletal hand that crawls across the Plains hurling fire and meteors. He’s the last boss before the Mistlands, and his power is vital for the elemental hazards ahead. Here’s how to beat Yagluth.
How to summon Yagluth
Place 5 Fuling Totems on his altar in the Plains. Fuling Totems drop from Fuling Berserkers and are found in Fuling villages — dangerous places, so come prepared.
Prepare before the fight
- Armor: Padded armor (Plains tier) for maximum protection.
- Power: activate Bonemass’s Forsaken Power for damage resistance before engaging.
- Weapon: blackmetal weapons or a strong bow with frost/needle arrows.
- Food: your best Plains-tier food and healing mead.
The fight
Yagluth is all about dodging his telegraphed attacks. He slams the ground for a fire AoE beneath himself (so don’t stand under him), launches a sweeping meteor barrage, and fires a frost/laser beam. Side-strafe the meteors, stay out of the fire zones, and close in to land hits between his attacks before backing off again. Patience beats him — don’t get greedy.
Rewards
Yagluth drops his trophy and Yagluth Things for late-game crafting. His Forsaken Power reduces incoming fire, frost and lightning damage — invaluable in the Mistlands and Ashlands. See the boss tracker.
Bring the crew
Splitting his aggro makes the meteors easier to dodge. A Valheim dedicated server keeps your world online 24/7 for group fights. See the boss order guide.
