How to make your Euro Truck Simulator 2 server private

The “show server” feature allows you to control whether your server is visible in the server browser, by setting it to “true” your server will be listed and can be joined by other players while setting it to “false” will hide it from the server browser! this can be useful for creating a private server that is only accessible to a specific group of players and in this article we will guide you on how to utilize this feature effectively!

How to make your server private:

1- go to your server’s control panel then hit “Stop” to stop your server

2- go to “Files” then to “local > share > Euro Truck Simulator 2 > server_config.sii”, and search for “show_server”

3- after finding “show_server” change it to “false” and that will hide your server from the server browser, then hit “Save Content”

4- go to your server’s console then start your server by hitting “Start”
