How To Make Your VEIN Server Private

Learn how to hide your VEIN dedicated server from the public browser so only players with the server IP can connect.

Making your VEIN server private removes it from the public server browser. Only players who have your direct server IP address will be able to find and connect to it. This is useful for small groups, private communities, or testing environments.

⚠️ Warning: Before setting your server to private, either add your server to favorites in-game or note down your server IP address. Once the server is private, you will not be able to find it in the public browser.

Disabling Public Server Listing

Stop Your Server

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your VEIN server.

Set the Server to Private

In the sidebar, go to Startup. Under Basic, find Public Server and set it to False.

Start Your Server

Start your server. It will no longer appear in the public server browser.

Connecting to a Private Server

Since your server is hidden from the browser, players must use the direct IP connection method to join.

Find Your Server IP

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and copy the server IP address from the sidebar on the Console page.

Open the In-Game Console

Open VEIN and press ~ on your keyboard to open the in-game console.

Connect Using the IP

Enter the connect command with your server IP and port. If your server has a password, append it to the command:

Without a password:

connect 168.59.45.100:27030

With a password:

connect 168.59.45.100:27030?password=Password123

💡 Tip: Share your server IP address privately with players you want to invite. You can also set a password for an additional layer of security.
