How To Set A Password On Your VEIN Server
Learn how to set a password on your VEIN dedicated server to restrict access.
Setting a password on your VEIN server requires players to enter it before they can join. This is a simple way to restrict access to your server without needing to set up a full whitelist. Only players who know the password will be able to connect.
Setting Your Server Password
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your VEIN server.
Set the Password
In the sidebar, go to Startup. Under Basic, edit Server Password and enter the password you want.
Restart Your Server
Restart your server for the password to take effect.
📝 Note: Make sure to share the password with your players. If you also want to hide your server from the public browser entirely, see the private server guide.
💡 Tip: To remove the password, simply clear the
Server Passwordfield and restart your server.
