How To Reset Your VEIN Server

Learn how to completely reset your VEIN dedicated server to factory settings for a fresh start.

Resetting your VEIN server wipes all files and reinstalls the server from scratch. This gives you a completely fresh start with a new save, default configuration, and clean file structure. This is helpful if you have made a mistake that cannot be undone or if you simply want to start over.

⚠️ Warning: This will permanently delete all server data including your world save, configuration files, and any custom settings. This should only be used as a last resort. If you are experiencing issues, join our Discord first and we will help you troubleshoot before resorting to a full reset.

Resetting Your Server

Open the Files Page

Delete All Files

Delete all folders and files in the file browser. The Files page should be completely empty when you are done.

Reinstall the Server

In the sidebar, go to Dashboard and click Reinstall Server. Wait for the installation to complete.

Configure and Start

Once the reinstallation finishes, your server will be back to default settings. Configure it as needed using the server configuration guide, then start it up.

💡 Tip: Before resetting, consider downloading a backup of your Server.vns save file and Engine.ini configuration, just in case you want to restore them later.
