How to Connect to Your RuneScape: Dragonwilds Server
Step-by-step guide to find and join your RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server using the in-game server browser on XGamingServer.
Here's how to find and connect to your RuneScape: Dragonwilds dedicated server. You'll use the in-game server browser to search by your world name.
Finding Your World Name
Open the XGamingServer Panel
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server.
Locate Your World Name
In the sidebar, go to Startup and note the Default World Name you configured. You'll need to search for this exact name in-game.
💡 Tip: Write down your world name exactly as it appears — the search is case-sensitive.
Joining Your Server
Launch RuneScape: Dragonwilds
Open RuneScape: Dragonwilds through Steam.
Open the Public Worlds Tab
From the main menu, go to the Worlds screen and select the Public tab.
Search for Your Server
In the search bar, enter your exact World Name (case-sensitive). After a few seconds, your server should appear in the results.
Join Your Server
Click on your server and select Join. If you've set a world password, you'll be prompted to enter it.
Troubleshooting Connection Issues
If your server doesn't appear in the browser:
- Server not started — Check the XGamingServer Panel to make sure your server is running. Look at
Consolefor startup progress. - Version mismatch — Your game client and server must be on the same version. The server version is shown at the top of the log file. Your client version is in the top-left corner of the screen. If they don't match, update your server.
- Wrong world name — The search is case-sensitive. Double-check the exact name in your panel under
Startup. - Config not set — Make sure all mandatory values (Owner ID, Server Name, Default World Name) are configured. See Configure Your Server.
- Port forwarding issue — If your server appears in the list but won't connect, there may be a port issue. XGamingServer handles port configuration automatically, but check Server Ports if needed.
- Check the logs — Server logs will tell you exactly what happened during startup. See Server Logs.
Known Issues
⚠️ Steam Invites: Inviting a player to your dedicated server via Steam Invites doesn't currently connect as intended. Use the server browser method above instead.
