How To Add Admins To Your V Rising Server
Learn how to add admins to your V Rising dedicated server.
Adding admins to your V Rising server lets trusted players use powerful in-game commands for server management, player moderation, and debugging. Admin privileges are granted by adding a player's SteamID64 to a configuration file on the server.
Before beginning, you will need the SteamID64 of each player you want to add as an admin. You can look up any SteamID at steamid.io.
Setting Yourself As An Admin
Stop your server
Log into the XGamingServer Panel and stop your V Rising server.
Open the admin list file
In the sidebar, click Files and navigate to save-data/Settings/adminlist.txt.
Add your SteamID64
Enter your SteamID64 on its own line, then click Save File.

Start your server
Go back to the Dashboard and start your server.
Using Admin Commands
Connect to your server
Open V Rising and connect to your server.
Enable the console
Once connected, open your options and navigate to General > Interface > Console Enabled. Make sure this is turned on.
Authenticate as admin
Press the tilde key ~ to open the console and type adminauth.
You should see the message You now have Administrator privileges (SuperAdmin)!. You can now use any V Rising admin commands on your server.
📝 Note: You must run
adminautheach time you connect to the server to activate your admin privileges for that session.
