How To Upload Your Existing V Rising Server Save

Step-by-step guide on how to upload your save file to your V Rising dedicated server.

If you have been playing V Rising locally or on another server, you can transfer your existing world save to your XGamingServer dedicated server. This guide walks you through locating your save files and uploading them.

💡 Tip: XGamingServer offers free save transfers. If you would rather have us handle it, join our Discord and we will take care of it for you.

Locating Your Existing Save Files

Open the saves folder

Press Win + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog and paste the following path:

%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\CloudSaves

Find your save data

Inside this folder, you will see a subfolder with a long number as its name. Open it to find your AutoSave folder, SessionId.json, and StartDate.json files.

Uploading Your Save to the Server

Stop your server

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and stop your V Rising server.

Navigate to the world folder

In the sidebar, click Files and navigate to /save-data/Saves/v4/world1.

Clear the existing save

Delete all the files inside the world1 folder.

💡 Tip: If you want to keep the existing world as a backup, download the files before deleting them.

Upload your save

Upload your AutoSave folder (and optionally the SessionId.json and StartDate.json files) into the world1 directory.

Start your server

Go back to the Dashboard and start your server. It will load your uploaded world save.
