Granting Admin Privileges on a Vintage Story Server
Learn how to grant and remove admin privileges on your Vintage Story dedicated server using the server console.
Managing your Vintage Story server often requires administrator privileges. This guide shows you how to grant and remove admin status for players on your server.
Becoming a Server OP
Open the Server Console
Log in to the XGamingServer panel and select your Vintage Story server. In the sidebar, click Console.
Grant Admin Privileges
Type /op Username (replacing Username with the player's name) and press Enter.
Connect and Verify
Connect to your server. The player will now have full admin privileges.
Removing a Server OP
Open the Server Console
Log in to the XGamingServer panel and select your Vintage Story server. In the sidebar, click Console.
Remove Admin Privileges
Type /player Username role suplayer (replacing Username with the player's name) and press Enter. This will demote the player back to a standard role.
