Gold coins buy everything that matters in Palworld — Pals from merchants, schematics, eggs and base materials. If you’re always broke, you’re missing the passive methods that print money while you play. Here’s how to get gold fast in Palworld, early to late game.
Best passive method: a Mau gold farm
The fastest hands-off gold is a Mau (or Mau Cryst) on your Ranch. Its Gold Digger Partner Skill drops gold coins automatically over time. Mau is easy to catch early — find it around Hillside Cavern (122, -423). Stack several Mau on a ranch and you earn a steady passive income while you do everything else. This is the single best early setup.
Best late-game method: the Gold Coin Assembly Line
At level 48 you unlock the Gold Coin Assembly Line, which turns Ingots into coins — 1 Ingot becomes 100 gold. Paired with an Ingot mining farm, it’s effectively infinite money. It needs a medicine-production setup (Witch Cauldron, Medicine Rack) plus the assembly line, so it’s an endgame project — but once running, gold stops being a concern.
Active methods that pay well
- Sell Pals to merchants. Breed or catch valuable Pals and sell them at Pal Merchants — a Relaxaurus sells for around 3,225 gold. Selling duplicates from breeding is great income.
- Run dungeons. Dungeons drop sellable loot, and Lotus Flowers sell for 5,000–10,000 gold each. A few dungeon runs fund a lot.
- Loot scrap piles. They hold gold directly — roughly 200 in starter areas, up to ~2,500 in the Feybreak and Sakurajima regions.
- Craft and sell. Nails sell for ~20 each (mass-produce them), and Salad (level 25, from a Cooking Pot) is a strong food to sell in bulk.
What to spend gold on
Prioritise: Pals you can’t easily catch (from merchants), Ancient Technology items, eggs for rare Pals, and ammo materials. Save up for the breeding and combat Pals that accelerate everything else — see our tier list.
Earn gold while you sleep
A Mau ranch and a Gold Coin Assembly Line both run on autopilot — but only while the world is online. On a Palworld dedicated server, your gold farms keep producing 24/7 with full PC and Xbox crossplay, so you come back to a full wallet. The 1.0 launch on July 10, 2026 adds server clustering for bigger setups.
