How To Change The Version Of Your Satisfactory Server

Learn how to switch between public and experimental branches on your Satisfactory dedicated server.

If you want to playtest upcoming updates on the experimental branch instead of the latest public release, you can change the version of your Satisfactory server. This is useful for trying new features early, but keep in mind that experimental builds may be less stable.

⚠️ Warning: Always back up your save before changing versions. Experimental branches are testing grounds for the game developers. XGamingServer officially supports only the main public branch of the game. Saves created on experimental may not be compatible with the public branch.
