How To Set Max Players On Your Satisfactory Server
Learn how to increase the max player limit on your Satisfactory dedicated server.
Satisfactory defaults to a maximum of four players on a dedicated server. If you want to build your factory with a larger group of friends, you can increase this limit through the panel. Unlike most Satisfactory settings, max players is configured from the XGamingServer Panel rather than the in-game Server Manager.
Setting Max Players
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and Stop your server.
Open Startup Settings
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Change Max Players
Find the Max Players setting and change it to your desired number.
Start Your Server
Start your server to apply the new player limit.
💡 Tip: More players means more resource usage. If you notice performance issues with a higher player count, you may need to upgrade your server plan to handle the additional load.
📝 Note: Satisfactory's multiplayer performance depends heavily on the complexity of your factory. Even with a higher max player limit, very large factories may experience lag with many players connected simultaneously.
