How To Reset Your Satisfactory Server

Learn how to completely reset your Satisfactory dedicated server for a fresh start.

If your server has run into an unrecoverable issue or you simply want to start over with a clean slate, you can perform a full server reset. This will delete all server files including your save data, settings, and any installed mods.

⚠️ Warning: This process is irreversible and will permanently delete all your server data. Only use this as a last resort. If you're experiencing issues, join our Discord first and we'll help you troubleshoot before resorting to a full reset.

Resetting Your Server

Back Up Your Data

Before resetting, go to Backups in the sidebar and create a backup of your server. This gives you a way to restore your data if needed.

Stop Your Server

Delete All Files

In the sidebar, go to Files and delete all folders and files. The file list should be completely empty when you're done.

Reinstall the Server

Go to Dashboard and click Reinstall Server. Wait for the installation to complete.

Start Your Server

Once the reinstall finishes, Start your server. It will boot up as a fresh Satisfactory dedicated server ready for initial setup.

💡 Tip: After reinstalling, you'll need to connect via the in-game Server Manager and go through the initial server claim and configuration process again, just like when you first set up the server.
