Unlocking Tek engrams
You don’t buy Tek engrams with normal engram points — you earn them by defeating bosses. Each boss, and each difficulty tier (Gamma, Beta, Alpha), unlocks specific Tek engrams. So the path to Tek runs straight through the boss fights, which means you need a bred, imprinted army first. Higher boss tiers unlock more Tek.
Element: the fuel
Tek runs on element (and element shards), earned from bosses and certain map activities. A Tek Generator burns element to power your Tek structures within a radius — so a steady supply of element is the real endgame grind. Without element, your Tek gear and structures are inert.
The best Tek gear
- Tek Armour — each piece grants a power: the chest enables flight, the helmet has night/heat vision, the boots give super-speed and the leggings a speed boost; together they make you far more mobile and durable (it drains element to use abilities).
- Tek Weapons — the Tek Rifle and other element-powered weapons hit extremely hard.
- Tek Structures — Teleporters for instant travel, the Tek Generator, a Cloning Chamber to duplicate prized tames, force fields and more.
Is Tek worth it?
Tek is the ultimate flex and a genuine power spike, but the cost is real: you need to farm bosses repeatedly for engrams and element.
