In Conan Exiles you don’t just survive — you serve a god, and at the end of the road you can summon that god’s avatar to crush your enemies’ bases. This guide covers Conan Exiles religions, gods and avatars.
The seven religions
There are seven gods to follow, each with its own theme and unique craftable items:
- Mitra — order and light.
- Set — the serpent; poison.
- Yog — cannibalism and flesh.
- Ymir — the frost god; war.
- Derketo — death and desire.
- Jhebbal Sag — lord of beasts (taming).
- Zath — the spider god (Isle of Siptah).
You can learn multiple religions, but each takes resources and altar space.
Altars and tiers
Each religion is built around an altar that you upgrade through tiers. Higher-tier altars unlock that god’s special recipes — religion-specific weapons, armor and ritual items — and the ability to summon the avatar.
Summoning an avatar
The endgame payoff: a god avatar — a massive, destructible manifestation of your god that stomps across the map dealing immense damage, ideal for flattening enemy bases in PvP. It’s a serious commitment: summoning requires a top-tier altar and a lot of resources, the avatar is big and slow, and it only stays on the field for a limited time. Use it as a decisive raid weapon, not casually.
Learning religions on Siptah
On the Isle of Siptah part of the world there are no religion trainers — you learn new religions by finding relics instead. Plan accordingly.
Worship on your own server
Avatars and religion warfare shine on a server you control. On your own Conan Exiles server you can enable/disable avatars and set PvP rules. Find religion recipes with our recipes tool.
