Catching a strong Pal is only the start — in Palworld you can make any Pal dramatically more powerful through condensing, Pal Souls and the Statue of Power. Stacking these turns a good Pal into a boss-killing monster. Here’s how each system works and how to use them together.
Pick the right Pal to invest in first with our free Palworld tier list and Pal finder.
1. Pal Essence Condenser (ranking up)

Unlocked at Technology Level 14, the Pal Essence Condenser lets you sacrifice multiple Pals of the same species to power up one “base” Pal. Each condensing tier raises the base Pal’s max Health, Attack and Defense and bumps its Partner Skill level by one. A Pal can be condensed four times (shown as four stars), with each tier costing more duplicates than the last. A 4-star Pal is significantly stronger than its 0-star version, so it’s worth catching extras of a species you love. (Rare Star Fruits can also raise a Pal’s rank without condensing.)
2. Statue of Power + Pal Souls (stat boosts)
Unlocked at Technology Level 6, the Statue of Power spends Pal Souls (Small, Medium and Large) to permanently raise a Pal’s stats. You can boost HP, Attack, Defense and Work Speed separately — each stat has 20 levels worth +3% each, for a maximum of +60%. Costs climb with each level and higher levels demand larger souls, so funnel your best souls into your main combat or work Pal first. Pal Souls drop from defeating and catching Pals and from dungeon chests.
3. Don’t forget the basics: levels and passives
Two more multipliers stack on top:
- Level up — keep your Pal in your party and feed it to gain levels, raising base stats.
- Passive skills — attack passives like Legend, Musclehead and Ferocious can add huge percentages. The way to get the perfect passives is breeding — see our breeding guide.
The full power-up stack (in order)
- Breed a Pal with the four passives you want (e.g. Legend + Musclehead + Ferocious + a defensive one).
- Condense it to 4 stars using duplicates for higher base stats and a level-5 Partner Skill.
- Level it up to your cap by keeping it active.
- Pour Pal Souls into it at the Statue of Power for up to +60% on each stat.
A Pal that has all four treatments — ideal passives, 4-star condense, max level and maxed souls — vastly outperforms a freshly caught one of the same species, and is what carries you through raids and endgame bosses.
Which Pals to invest in
Condensing and souls are expensive, so spend them on Pals you’ll use long-term: a top-tier flyer like Jetragon, a ground bruiser like Necromus, or your best base worker like Anubis. Check our tier list before committing resources.
