Gear level is your gate
Every piece of armor and your weapon contribute to your gear score, which should roughly match the V Blood boss you’re fighting. Out-levelled bosses wreck you; matching the level keeps fights fair. Weapons — upgrade first, always
Your weapon has the biggest impact on damage, so keep it upgraded ahead of everything else. V Rising’s weapon types each have a distinct moveset and special abilities:
- Sword / Slashers — fast, balanced.
- Axes / Mace — heavy, strong vs armor and structures.
- Spear — reach, great vs bosses and cavalry.
- Greatsword — big sweeping AoE.
- Crossbow / Pistols — ranged.

Armor sets and jewels
