How to become a sorcerer
You don’t level into sorcery — you learn it. Find the right NPC and unlock the sorcery feats, then craft the tomes and items you need. From there, sorcery is cast from a spellbook rather than a normal weapon.
What sorcery can do
- Summoning — summoning circles let you call demonic servants and undead thralls to fight for you.
- Teleportation — fast-travel across the map with sorcerous portals.
- Storms & ice bridges — call down lightning storms on enemies, and conjure ice bridges to cross terrain.
- Rituals — powerful endgame effects performed at sorcery stations.
The price: corruption
Sorcery is powered by corruption. Practicing it raises your corruption level, which permanently reduces your maximum health and stamina until cleansed. You can deliberately corrupt yourself to invest in corrupted attributes and perks (trading survivability for magic power) — but uncontrolled corruption will get you killed. Dancers (entertainer thralls) and certain items remove corruption.
The corruption build
Some players lean all the way in — sacrificing max HP and stamina to fuel corrupted Strength or Authority builds for huge damage or powerful undead minions. It’s a high-risk, high-reward playstyle that completely changes how you play.
