How to Reset Your Arma Reforger Server

Learn how to perform a full reset and reinstall of your Arma Reforger dedicated server to fix persistent issues.

If your Arma Reforger server has issues that can't be resolved through normal troubleshooting — crashes on startup, corrupted files, broken mod installations, or persistent errors — a full reset will restore it to a clean state. This completely wipes all server files and reinstalls Arma Reforger from scratch.

⚠️ Warning: This is a last resort. A reset deletes everything on your server — configurations, mods, mission files, and all data. If you keep having issues, join our Discord first and we'll help you troubleshoot before wiping.

Before You Reset

Take these steps before performing a full reset to avoid losing important data:

  1. Export your configuration — In Arma Reforger Config, click the Export Configuration button to download a backup of your server settings. This saves your server name, password, scenario, mod list, and all other settings so you can restore them after the reset.
  2. Note your mod list — Write down or screenshot the mods you had installed from the Mods tab in Arma Reforger Config, in case the export doesn't capture everything.
  3. Save any custom files — If you've added custom scenarios, scripts, or other files, download them from Files before wiping.
