How to Update Your 7 Days to Die Server
Learn how to keep your 7 Days to Die dedicated server up to date with automatic updates.
XGamingServer 7 Days to Die servers support automatic updates, so your server stays current whenever a new game patch is released. This guide shows you how to verify that automatic updates are enabled.
Enabling Automatic Updates
Open the panel
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your server.
Navigate to Startup
In the sidebar, click Startup.
Enable automatic updates
Find the Automatic Updates toggle and make sure it is set to Enabled.
Restart your server
Go back to Dashboard and restart your server.
Whenever a new update is detected, your server will automatically restart and install the latest version before coming back online.
💡 Tip: If you are running a specific version or beta branch (see our Change Version guide), set Automatic Updates to Disabled to prevent your server from updating to a version you do not want.
📝 Note: After a major game update, it is a good idea to check that your mods are still compatible. Incompatible mods can prevent the server from starting after an update.
