How to Set a Password on Your 7D2D Server
Learn how to set a password on your 7 Days to Die dedicated server to restrict access.
Setting a server password is a simple way to control who can join your 7 Days to Die server. Only players who know the password will be able to connect.
Setting Your 7 Days to Die Server Password
Open the panel
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your 7 Days to Die server.
Navigate to Startup
In the sidebar, click Startup.
Set the password
Under Basic, find the Server Password field and enter the password you want to use.
💡 Tip: Choose something easy for your friends to remember but hard for strangers to guess. Avoid common passwords like "1234" or "password".
Restart your server
Go back to Dashboard and restart your server for the password to take effect.
📝 Note: To remove the password and make your server public again, simply clear the Server Password field and restart.
