How to Enable Cheat Mode on Your 7D2D Server
Learn how to enable the Creative Menu and Debug Menu (cheat mode) on your 7 Days to Die dedicated server.
After becoming an admin on your 7 Days to Die server, you can unlock Cheat Mode to access infinite resources, God Mode, flying, POI teleporting, and more. Cheat Mode consists of two in-game menus: the Creative Menu and the Debug Menu.
⚠️ Warning: Enabling Cheat Mode will disable achievements on your server.
Enabling the Creative Menu (Admin Only)
Open the game console
While in-game, press F1 to open the console.
Activate the Creative Menu
Type cm and press Enter.
Use the Creative Menu
Press U to open the Creative Menu. From here you can drag items into your inventory to spawn them. To destroy an item, drag it back into an empty slot in the Creative Menu or click Clear Inventory.
Enabling the Debug Menu (Admin Only)
Open the game console
While in-game, press F1 to open the console.
Activate the Debug Menu
Type dm and press Enter, then close the console.
Access debug features
Press ESC to open the game menu. You will now see options for God Mode, Fly Mode, Invisibility, POI Teleporter, and more. You can also press F6 to open the Spawn Entity Menu directly.
💡 Tip: The Creative and Debug Menus activated through the console are only available to players with admin privileges. This is the recommended approach if you want to keep cheats restricted.
Enabling the Creative Menu for All Players
If you want every player on the server to have access to the Creative Menu (not just admins), you can enable it through the panel.
Open the panel
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your 7D2D server.
Navigate to Startup
In the sidebar, click Startup.
Enable Build Create
Under Gameplay, find the Build Create (Cheat Mode) setting and set it to Enabled.
Restart your server
Go back to Dashboard and restart your server. All players can now press U to open the Creative Menu.
⚠️ Warning: This gives every player access to the Creative Menu. If you only want admins to have it, use the console commands described above instead.
