How to Change the Server Name of Your 7D2D Server
Learn how to change the server name (hostname) of your 7 Days to Die dedicated server.
Your server name, also known as the hostname, is what players see when browsing the server list. Choosing a clear and memorable name makes it easier for friends and new players to find your server.
Changing Your 7D2D Server Name
Open the panel
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your 7D2D server.
Navigate to Startup
In the sidebar, click Startup.
Set the server name
Under Basic, find the Server Name setting and enter your desired name.
💡 Tip: Keep your server name concise but descriptive. For example, "Survival PvE | No Wipe" tells players exactly what to expect.
Restart your server
Go back to Dashboard and restart your server for the new name to appear in the server browser.
📝 Note: The server name set in the panel overrides anything you have manually configured inside
serverconfig.xml.
