How to Add a Whitelist to Your 7 Days to Die Server

Learn how to whitelist players on your 7 Days To Die dedicated server to keep it private for you and your friends.

A whitelist is the best way to keep your 7 Days to Die server private. Once activated, only players you have explicitly added will be able to join. This guide covers whitelisting by in-game player ID as well as by SteamID64.

💡 Tip: As soon as you add the first player to the whitelist, it activates automatically. Anyone not on the list will be unable to join.

Whitelisting Players by Player ID

Connect to your server

Launch 7 Days to Die and join your server. The player you want to whitelist must be online so you can look up their ID.

Open the Console

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your server. In the sidebar, click Console.

Get the player ID

Type listplayerids in the console and note the ID of the player you want to whitelist.

Add the player to the whitelist

Enter the following command:

whitelist add ID

For example:

whitelist add 171

📝 Note: You can check who is currently whitelisted by typing whitelist list. To remove a player, use whitelist remove ID.

Whitelisting Players with a SteamID64

If the player is not currently online, you can whitelist them using their SteamID64 instead. You can look up any SteamID64 at steamidfinder.com by entering the link to their Steam profile.

Open the Console

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and select your server. In the sidebar, click Console.

Add the player by SteamID64

Enter the following command, replacing the number with the player's actual SteamID64:

whitelist add steam_76561198106341655

To remove a player added by SteamID64:

whitelist remove steam_76561198106341655
