How To Change The Day And Night Cycle Speed On Your Palworld Server
Learn how to adjust the day and night cycle speed on your Palworld dedicated server. Speed up or slow down time progression to suit your playstyle.
Palworld lets you control how quickly daytime and nighttime pass independently. This is useful if you want longer days for building and exploring, or shorter nights so players spend less time in the dark when dangerous Pals are more active.
Both values default to 1.0. Higher values make time pass faster, while lower values slow it down.
How To Change Day And Night Speed
Open the XGamingServer panel
Access the XGamingServer panel and stop your Palworld server.
Go to Startup
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Adjust the day and night speed rates
Under the Gameplay section, edit the following settings:
- DayTimeSpeedRate - Controls how fast daytime passes. Set to
2.0for double speed, or0.5for half speed. - NightTimeSpeedRate - Controls how fast nighttime passes. Same scale as above.
💡 Tip: A popular configuration is
DayTimeSpeedRate = 1.0withNightTimeSpeedRate = 2.0, which keeps normal day length but makes nights pass twice as fast.
Restart your server
Start your server from the Console page to apply the changes.
