How To Reset Your World On Palworld

Quick guide to reset your Palworld world and start fresh. Learn how to delete your current save and begin a new adventure on your dedicated server without losing server settings.

Starting fresh in Palworld can be an exciting opportunity to explore new adventures, build different structures, and experience the game from a whole new perspective. Whether you are dealing with world corruption or simply looking for a clean slate, resetting your world is quick and straightforward.

Unlike a full server reset, resetting your world only deletes the save data. Your server configuration, startup settings, and installed mods all remain intact. This is the best option when you want a fresh world without having to reconfigure everything.

Resetting Your World

Stop Your Server

Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and click Stop to shut down your Palworld server.

Open the Files Panel

In the sidebar, go to Files.

Navigate to the Save Directory

Navigate to Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/.

Delete the Save Folder

You will see a folder with a long random name like 84B5E2264EC387DEDB43179D666031A1. This is your world save. Delete this folder.

💡 Tip: If you want to keep a backup of your current world before deleting it, download the folder first using Files or SFTP.

Start Your Server

Click Start on the Console page. Your server will generate a brand new world automatically while keeping all your existing server settings.

📝 Note: All player progress, bases, Pals, and inventories will be lost. Only do this if you are sure you want a completely fresh world. If something went wrong, consider restoring from a backup first.
