How To Change The Pal Spawn Rate On Your Palworld Server
Learn how to change the Pal spawn rate on your Palworld dedicated server. Follow this guide to increase or decrease how often wild Pals appear in your world.
The PalSpawnNumRate setting controls how many wild Pals spawn in the world on your Palworld server. The default value is 1.0. Higher values mean more Pals populate the map, making the world feel more alive and giving players more opportunities to catch and fight Pals.
Changing Pal Spawn Rate
Open the XGamingServer panel
Access the XGamingServer panel and stop your Palworld server.
Go to Startup
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Edit the PalSpawnNumRate setting
Under the Pals section, find PalSpawnNumRate and change the value. The default is 1.0 (normal spawn rate).
Recommended values:
| Value | Effect |
|---|---|
0.5 | Fewer Pals, quieter world |
1.0 | Default spawn rate |
1.5 | More Pals, livelier world |
2.0 | Double the spawns |
3.0 | Very populated (monitor performance) |
Restart your server
Start your server from the Console page to apply the changes.
⚠️ Warning: Higher spawn rates directly impact server performance. Each spawned Pal uses server resources for AI, pathfinding, and collision. If you notice lag after increasing this value, lower it back down. Values above
3.0are not recommended for most servers.
💡 Tip: A value of
1.5adds a noticeable increase in wild Pals without heavily impacting performance. This pairs well with an increased capture rate for a more collection-focused experience.
