How To Modify Item Weight On Your Palworld Server
Learn how to change the item weight ratio on your Palworld dedicated server. Follow this guide to control item weight and effectively increase carrying capacity for players.
The ItemWeightRate setting controls a multiplier applied to the weight of all items on your Palworld server. The default value is 1.0. Lower values make items weigh less, effectively increasing how much players can carry. Setting it to 0 removes item weight entirely.
Changing Item Weight
Open the XGamingServer panel
Access the XGamingServer panel and stop your Palworld server.
Go to Startup
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Edit the ItemWeightRate setting
Under the Gameplay section, find ItemWeightRate and change the value. The default is 1.0 (normal weight).
Recommended values:
| Value | Effect |
|---|---|
0.0 | Weightless items (unlimited carry) |
0.25 | Items weigh 25% of normal |
0.5 | Items weigh half as much |
1.0 | Default item weight |
2.0 | Items weigh twice as much (hardcore) |
Restart your server
Start your server from the Console page to apply the changes.
💡 Tip: Setting
ItemWeightRateto0.5is a balanced choice that reduces inventory management without eliminating it. For servers focused on building and exploration rather than survival,0.0removes weight entirely.
📝 Note: This setting affects the weight of items in player inventories. It does not change Pal carry weight or storage container capacity.
