How To Hatch Eggs Faster On Your Palworld Server
Learn how to reduce egg hatching time on your Palworld dedicated server. Change from the default 72-hour incubation period to speed up egg hatching, or make eggs hatch instantly.
By default, Pal eggs take 72 real-time hours to hatch on your Palworld server. The PalEggDefaultHatchingTime setting lets you reduce (or increase) this incubation period. The value is measured in hours, so setting it to 1 means eggs hatch in one hour.
Changing Egg Hatch Time
Open the XGamingServer panel
Access the XGamingServer panel and stop your Palworld server.
Go to Startup
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Edit the PalEggDefaultHatchingTime setting
Under the Pals section, find PalEggDefaultHatchingTime and change the value. The default is 72 (hours).
Recommended values:
| Value | Effect |
|---|---|
0.01 | Nearly instant hatching |
1 | One hour to hatch |
6 | Six hours to hatch |
24 | One day to hatch |
72 | Default (three days) |
Restart your server
Start your server from the Console page to apply the changes.
⚠️ Warning: Any eggs that are already incubating when you change this setting must be picked up and placed back down in an incubator for the new hatch time to take effect.
💡 Tip: Setting this to
1gives a balanced feel where egg hatching is still meaningful but does not require waiting days. For breeding-focused servers,0.01effectively makes hatching instant.
