How To Change The Structure Damage Rate On Your Palworld Server
Learn how to change structure damage rate on your Palworld dedicated server. Follow this guide to control how much damage buildings take and how fast they decay.
This guide shows you how to change structure damage rates on your Palworld server. You can adjust both the damage buildings take from attacks and how fast they deteriorate over time. These settings are especially useful for PvP servers where base raiding is a core part of gameplay, or for PvE servers where you want structures to last longer.
Key Settings
There are three settings that control structure durability:
- BuildObjectDamageRate -- Controls how much damage structures take from attacks. Higher values mean structures take more damage. Default is
1.0. - BuildObjectDeteriorationDamageRate -- Controls how fast structures decay over time when not maintained. Default is
1.0. - BuildObjectHPRate -- Controls the overall HP multiplier for structures. Higher values mean structures have more health. Default is
1.0.
Changing Structure Damage Rate
Stop Your Server
Log in to the XGamingServer Panel and click Stop to shut down your server.
Open Startup Settings
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Edit Structure Settings
Under Bases & Guilds, adjust the following settings to your preference:
- BuildObjectDamageRate -- Set lower (e.g.,
0.5) for tougher buildings, or higher (e.g.,2.0) for easier raiding. - BuildObjectDeteriorationDamageRate -- Set lower to slow decay, or higher to speed it up.
- BuildObjectHPRate -- Set higher (e.g.,
2.0) to give structures more health.
Start Your Server
Click Start to apply the new structure damage settings.
⚠️ Warning: We recommend always keeping
BuildObjectDeteriorationDamageRateset to at least0.1. This allows abandoned structures to clear up over time, which has a positive impact on server performance.
