Learn how to increase XP rates on your Palworld dedicated server, with this quick and easy guide to modify experience gain for faster progression.
The ExpRate setting controls the experience point multiplier on your Palworld server. The default value is 1.0. Increasing this value means players earn more XP from all sources including crafting, catching Pals, defeating enemies, and completing tasks.
Increasing XP Rates
Open the XGamingServer panel
Access the XGamingServer panel and stop your Palworld server.
Go to Startup
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Edit the ExpRate setting
Under the Gameplay section, find ExpRate and change the value. The default is 1.0 (normal XP gain).
Recommended values:
| Value | Effect |
|---|---|
1.0 | Default XP rate |
2.0 | Double XP (popular choice) |
3.0 | Triple XP |
5.0 | Fast leveling for catch-up or casual play |
10.0 | Very fast leveling |
Restart your server
Start your server from the Console page to apply the changes.
💡 Tip: Setting
ExpRateto2.0is a great default for servers that want faster progression without skipping the leveling experience. For servers where players join late and need to catch up,5.0or10.0helps them reach endgame content quickly.
📝 Note: The XP multiplier applies to all sources of experience. There is no way to adjust XP from individual sources separately through server settings.
