How To Change HP Regeneration Rates On Your Palworld Server

Learn how to change HP regeneration rates on your Palworld dedicated server. Follow this guide to control how fast players and Pals recover health automatically and while sleeping.

Palworld has four separate HP regeneration settings that let you fine-tune healing speeds for both players and Pals. You can adjust passive regeneration (while active) and sleep regeneration independently. All default to 1.0.

Changing HP Regeneration Rates

Open the XGamingServer panel

Access the XGamingServer panel and stop your Palworld server.

Go to Startup

In the sidebar, go to Startup.

Edit the HP regeneration settings

Under the Player and Pal sections, find and adjust the following settings:

SettingDescriptionDefault
PlayerAutoHPRegeneRatePlayer passive HP regeneration1.0
PlayerAutoHPRegeneRateInSleepPlayer HP regeneration while sleeping1.0
PalAutoHPRegeneRatePal passive HP regeneration1.0
PalAutoHPRegeneRateInSleepPal HP regeneration while in Palbox1.0

Values above 1.0 increase healing speed. Values below 1.0 slow it down. Setting a value to 0.0 disables that type of regeneration entirely.

Restart your server

Start your server from the Console page to apply the changes.

💡 Tip: For a more forgiving experience, try setting all values to 2.0 or 3.0. For hardcore survival, set passive regeneration to 0.0 so players and Pals only heal while resting or using items.

📝 Note: These settings are multipliers, not flat values. A value of 2.0 means healing happens twice as fast as normal, not that players gain 2 HP per tick.
