How To Update Your Palworld Server

Learn how to update your Palworld dedicated server to the latest version. Enable automatic updates or manually update your server after game patches with our troubleshooting tips.

By default, XGamingServer Palworld servers will automatically update whenever a new version is released, ensuring your server stays up-to-date seamlessly. Automatic updates can also be disabled if you want full control over when your server updates.

Updating Your Palworld Server

Access the Panel

Open Startup Settings

In the sidebar, go to Startup.

Enable Automatic Updates

Find the Automatic Updates toggle and make sure it is enabled. This ensures your server updates automatically whenever a new Palworld patch is released.

Restart Your Server

Go to Console and restart your server. If an update is available, it will be downloaded and applied during the restart.

📝 Note: Whenever a new update is detected, your server will automatically restart to perform the update. Players will be briefly disconnected during this process.

My Server Still Did Not Update

If your server did not update after restarting, try the following:

Confirm Automatic Updates is enabled in Startup.
Manually restart your server from the Console page to force an update check.
If the update still does not apply, go to Files in the sidebar and delete the steamapps folder. Then restart your server -- this forces a complete re-download of the server files.
