How To Set Max Players On Your Palworld Server
Learn how to change the maximum player limit on your Palworld dedicated server. Increase or decrease player slots from the default 32 to match your needs.
By default, Palworld servers allow up to 32 players. You can increase this for a larger community or decrease it to keep things smaller and improve performance. Lowering the player count can help reduce lag on servers with heavily built-up bases.

How To Change Max Players
Open the XGamingServer panel
Access the XGamingServer panel and stop your Palworld server.
Go to Startup
In the sidebar, go to Startup.
Set the max player count
Under the Basic section, find the Max Players field and enter your desired player limit.
💡 Tip: Higher player counts require more server resources. If you notice lag with many players online, consider lowering this value or reducing base building density.
Restart your server
Start your server from the Console page to apply the changes. The new player limit takes effect immediately after restart.
